Long red carpet, pink champagne and red gin & strawberry cocktails set the exciting tone for a spectacular opening launch of the ROCK and Carnelian restaurants that took place on 27 February 2018 at Design Quarter in Fourways.
This launch was to showcase the impeccable urban chic and contemporary design of the ROCK and Carnelian restaurants which opened mid-February.
A glittering and eclectic mix of local and international guests arrived to socialise, mingle and to congratulate owner, Chris Tatsakis and partners on a spectacular achievement in their continued hospitality journey.
Head chefs, Waldo, Kimberley, Wayne and Warrick set out a dazzling tapas table with fresh oysters; Fig, ricotta walnut and pomegranate; Peach, basil pesto and goats cheese; Pickled red pepper and feta; Camembert spiced peas; Sesame seared tuna; Croquettes de Jamon; Crumbed fried mussels; Serrano ham and Marinated prawns with smoked aioli to name but a few trendy and scrumptious dishes.
The ambience was buoyed up by Marc, our sommelier; head barman, George and the sponsors of Graham Beck Bubbly, Valdo prosecco, Pernod Ricard, Meridian wines and PB Liquor all added to the incredible atmosphere. Special thank you to Design Quarter managment, their security team and Ghorbany carpets.
